Letter on COVID-19 from Taft's Chairman and Managing Partner
To our valued clients and friends of the firm,
Amid the rapid progression of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the disruptions it has caused, Taft remains committed to providing highly responsive and exemplary service to our clients. In addition, safeguarding the health of our clients, our people, and the communities where we live and work is of equal importance.
In the event of an office closure, our infrastructure is set up to allow our lawyers and staff to work remotely, so please communicate with Taft as you normally would. We have protocols in place to ensure the security of confidential documents and emails.
To address the evolving needs of our clients, Taft has assembled a COVID-19 Task Force comprised of attorneys across our practices to provide ongoing guidance during this uncharted and fluid situation. Taft’s COVID-19 Resource Toolkit provides legal updates, information from healthcare authorities and other helpful resources. Our attorneys and staff are also armed with resources to help them stay safe while continuing to meet client needs and exceed expectations.
We will actively follow the guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state/local governmental agencies to revise plans and make decisions accordingly.
It is gratifying and humbling to witness the collaboration and responsiveness of the Taft team during challenging and unsettling times. We stand ready to help answer any questions or concerns you may have, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me or anyone at Taft.
Best,
Robert J. Hicks
Chairman and Managing Partner
