Taft Real Estate partner Anthony R. Licata was honored with the “Excellence in Business Award” from the Italian American Chamber of Commerce at its annual award dinner and gala on Fri., Nov. 5 at the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago. The annual event honors Italian American leaders for their extraordinary achievement and contributions to their communities.

Licata focuses his legal practice on private equity venture capital matters, also working closely with the construction, restaurant and hospitality, and technology industries, representing clients on major commercial real estate transactions. He has served in many leadership positions at Taft, and its predecessor firm Shefsky & Froelich, including partner-in-charge, chair of the Administration Committee, and as a member of Taft’s firm wide Executive Committee.

Among the diverse institutions, Licata holds leadership positions at Westminster Funds Advisory Board; Lane Industries, Inc.; Partnership for a Connected Illinois, Inc.; Kohl Children’s Museum; and the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
