Maniace Presented With Erika Blumenstein Memorial Award by Columbus REALTORS®
Taft Columbus senior counsel Jim Maniace received the 2023 Erika Blumenstein Memorial Award from Columbus REALTORS® at the 16th annual Commercial Recognition Awards Celebration on April 11. Jim was honored for his professionalism and outstanding commitment to the commercial real estate industry and the central Ohio community. Read more about the award here.
He was also twice recognized as Columbus REALTORS® Commercial Instructor of the Year in 2014 and 2020 and has served for many years on the Columbus REALTORS® Commercial Standard Forms Committee.
Maniace’s practice blends advice on all business and corporate law aspects, concentrating on real estate, land use, and oil and gas. In his practice, he frequently serves as outside general counsel to companies of all sizes, including closely held and family-owned companies.
Maniace manages a variety of complex business and real estate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring and workouts, and sales and exchanges of real property, including financing. He also regularly represents court-appointed receivers in managing and selling complex real estate projects.
Maniace’s ability to find solutions to land use issues has been enhanced by his twenty years of service as the chairman of the City of Columbus’ Board of Zoning Adjustment. He is also a lecturer in Real Estate Law at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
