McDonald Highlighted in Recent Publication for DE&I Efforts with CSO
Taft partner Rob McDonald was recently highlighted in the Movers & Makers, Cincinnati article, “Symphony leading locally, nationally,” published on Aug. 31. The article discusses the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s status as a local and national leader in putting into action diversity, equity, & inclusion efforts and programs in their field.
While the CSO recognizes their recent DE&I success in being among the first top orchestras in America to hire a chief diversity officer in addition to getting more under-represented musicians hired in full-time roles, they are dedicated to continually enacting change. Rob McDonald, who is the CSO’s Immediate Past Chair, stated that they have “made some great progress at CSO, but still have lots of work to do on [their] DE&I plan.” The CSO is striving to be a catalyst for change not only within its organization but within the greater community. While challenging, chair-elect Diana Rosenberg remarked, “our leadership is committed to this. I give Rob (McDonald) a lot of credit for supporting this change.”
