Taft Minneapolis partner Bob McLeod was quoted in the article “Sweetheart scams targeting seniors wreck finances — and devastate families,” which was published in the Star Tribune on April 22. The article examines the increasing reports of suspected abuse, neglect or financial exploitation of vulnerable adults each year, and discusses the complexities of these ever more common “sweetheart scams.” Read the article here (subscription required).
As a member of Taft’s Private Client group, Bob practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, taxation, probate, trusts, and guardianships and conservatorships. Bob collaborated with the Minnesota Legislature on drafting the state’s probate and guardianship law, and assisted in developing the court-approved forms requested by the state for use by attorneys practicing guardianship and conservatorship law. Bob is an honoree of the Top 100 Lawyers in Minnesota, as well as an ongoing honoree of Minnesota Super Lawyers since 2004.
