McMahon Honored as Crain’s Notable Latino Leader
Taft is proud to announce that business development manager Risa McMahon has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2024 list of Notable Latino Leaders. The honorees are recognized for showing the ability or power to effect change in their role, serving as role models or mentors, and holding leadership positions in professional organizations and community service initiatives. As a business development manager at Taft, McMahon works with the Intellectual Property and Gaming practice groups. She is also the founder and CEO of Southport Fundamentals, a community center in the Lakeview community that offers a wide range of educational programs, including music and sign language for babies, enrichment activities like chess and theater for school-aged children, and personal development classes for adults. A life-long volunteer, McMahon recently completed a two-year term on the Association of Legal Administrators’ Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Committee.
