Meister to Moderate Panel at Advanced Probate and Estate Planning Institute
Julia B. Meister, head of Taft’s Wealth Transfer Litigation practice, and a partner in the firm’s Litigation, Private Client, and Health Care and Life Sciences groups, will serve as a moderator at the Ohio State Bar Association’s Marvin R. Pliskin Advanced Probate and Estate Planning Institute held on Sept. 16. The presentation is, “Frontline Warriors and Mandatory Reporters: Legal Solutions to Battle Elder Abuse,” and includes panelists Brian McDonough, Esq., Federal, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Northern District of Ohio; and Sylvia Pla-Raith, Director of Elder Justice Unit-Consumer Protection, Office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost. The panel is part of the daylong CLE program and will offer suggestions and solutions to elder abuse problems.
Meister is an elected Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and chair of its national Elder Law Committee.
