Taft partner Russell Menyhart authored the article “Strategies For Dealing With U.S.-China Tariffs,” which was published by Law360 on Aug. 1. The article provides a review of the proposed U.S. and Chinese tariffs and suggests tariff mitigation strategies.

Menyhart is a former diplomat with extensive international experience, most recently serving as political unit chief at the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai from 2011-2014. He assists clients in navigating international legal issues, and a substantial portion of his practice is focused on compliance with anti-corruption laws and export controls, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and other relevant laws and regulations. Fluent in Mandarin, he also assists Chinese and other foreign companies and individuals with the legal aspects of investing in the United States and in resolving other complex legal issues.
