Morgan Joins Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee Board of Directors
Taft attorney Donnie Morgan has joined the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee’s (GIPC) Board of Directors. GIPC is a non-partisan organization that brings together public- and private-sector Indianapolis leaders to study, discuss, and address issues of concern and opportunities to advance progress in the city. Past GIPC initiatives have included de-segregation of Central Indiana schools, the creation of Unigov, the creation of Eagle Creek Park, and more recently the Community Crime-Prevention Grant program.
Morgan is appellate advocate and public-sector lawyer. He has extensive experience advising elected and appointed officials and practicing at all levels of the federal and Indiana judicial systems. He is a current Indianapolis Bar Association vice president, a member of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association’s board of governors, and a member of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit’s advisory committee on circuit rules. Prior to joining Taft, he served the Consolidated City of Indianapolis and Marion County as its corporation counsel and, before that, its chief litigation counsel.
