Pappas Named Chair of CBA’s YLS Real Estate Law Committee
Real Estate associate Alexander C. Pappas has been named chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Real Estate Law Committee.
The Young Lawyers Section (YLS) was created in 1971 to address the needs and interests of newly admitted attorneys. To satisfy these needs, the YLS offers substantive practice committees as well as public service committees and projects. The Real Estate Law committee is involved in all areas of real estate law and practice. Through the YLS subcommittees, developments in all areas of real estate law and practice are studied and legislative changes suggested. Members are kept advised of recent developments by regular CLE programs, committee programs and a newsletter.
Pappas focuses his practice on real estate transactions, commercial leasing, asset-backed financing, joint ventures and land development. He has been involved in a range of notable mixed use, retail, hotel, multi-family residential, office and hospitality projects throughout Chicago and the metropolitan area. He earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2009.
