Taft attorneys Rebecca Pearson and Brandon Dobyns represented the firm at the 16th Annual Michigan Defense Expo (MDEX) on April 8-10, 2025. The team showcased Taft’s government contracts capabilities at this premier defense industry event held at the Macomb Sports & Expo Center in Warren, Michigan.

MDEX served as “a premier DOD buyer/supplier event” connecting Department of Defense leaders, prime contractors, and small businesses from across the country. The three-day program included DoD briefings, industry panels, and one-on-one meetings with government representatives.

Rebecca Pearson, a partner in Taft’s Government Contracts practice group, brought extensive experience in False Claims Act investigations, bid protests, contract disputes, and compliance with federal procurement regulations. Brandon Dobyns serves as counsel on government contract matters and provided unique insight from his previous experience as in-house counsel to a mid-sized government contractor.
