Rothrock and Shuster To Speak on International Patents and Trademarks at IndyBar CLE Program
Taft Indianapolis attorneys Lindsey Rothrock and Elizabeth Shuster will speak at the IndyBar CLE webinar “International IP” on Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. ET. Rothrock will serve as moderator, and Shuster will participate as a panelist. Speakers will discuss working with international patents and trademarks, including strategic methods for contesting third-party patents in Europe, beneficial insights and strategies for managing local patent and trademark portfolios, and more.

Rothrock assists clients in protecting their brands, creative works, and proprietary information, as well as provides guidance to clients regarding brand development, clearance, registration, maintenance, and strategy for national and international trademark portfolios. She regularly advises clients regarding trademark and copyright infringement and enforcement issues, including preparing and responding to cease and desist letters, representing and defending clients before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and negotiating consent-to-use and co-existence agreements.
Shuster is a partner in Taft’s Intellectual Property practice group and a registered patent attorney. She focuses on patent prosecution and litigation in a wide array of technology areas. Shuster regularly advises and assists clients to avoid patent infringement, freedom to operate opinions, novelty opinions, patent validity/invalidity opinions, reverse engineering around patents, intellectual property due diligence investigations, licensing and strategic counseling. She is a member of the Indy Bar and has served on the IndyBar’s Professionalism Committee and Innovation & Research Council.
