Saeedi and Harrington to Lead ACC Minnesota Seminar on Unfair Competition and Trade Secrets
Taft attorneys Daniel Saeedi and Blair Harrington will lead a discussion on “Unfair Competition and Trade Secrets – The Pitfalls of Commencing Litigation without Following Best Practices” for the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Minnesota Chapter on June 22, 2022.
In the current economic climate, professionals are changing jobs at record rates. This increased employee mobility often arises in litigation, especially where the employee leaves for a competitor and takes valuable company trade secrets without authorization. The success of this litigation, however, is highly dependent upon a company following important best practices both before a case is filed and during its prosecution or defense.
This breakfast program will explore important lessons learned – sometimes the hard way – from recent state and federal rulings. Attendees will acquire a better understanding of some of the key pitfalls that can sink a trade secrets misappropriation case, and how companies can avoid them.
