Seven Taft IP Attorneys Recognized in WTR 1000 2024
Taft Intellectual Property partners Philip Bautista, Kristine Boylan, Jennifer Debrow, Ashley Bennett Ewald, Jonathan Polak, Amanda Wilcox, and Amy Wright have been recognized in the 2024 edition of World Trademark Review 1000: The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals, an annual ranking of the world’s top trademark firms and practitioners published by World Trademark Review (WTR) magazine.
Taft received a gold ranking in Indiana and a bronze ranking in Minnesota and Ohio.
Bautista was recognized in the bronze band for individual practitioners in Ohio. According to WTR, his litigation experience “places him in good stead to handle the enforcement of trademarks for luxury consumer goods brands.”
Boylan was ranked in the silver band for individuals: prosecution and strategy. She is praised for her expert IP work in Minneapolis, as well as her work in brand creation counseling and the AI space.
Debrow earned recognition in the silver band for individuals in prosecution and strategy. WTR mentions that she is a “seasoned counselor on all IP matters,” and her peers commend her for her “excellent, very thoughtful, reasoned advice.”
Ewald was selected in the gold band for individuals: enforcement and litigation, as well as in the silver band for individuals: prosecution and strategy. As an experienced IP litigator, she is described as “an authority on the field in both contentious and advisory roles.”
Polak maintained a silver band ranking in Indiana. As chair of Taft’s Intellectual Property practice, he has represented clients in disputes involving trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, rights of publicity, trade secrets, and patents.
Wilcox is newly ranked in the bronze band as a recommended individual practitioner. She is named an “IP all-rounder” by WTR, and utilizes her patent experience to provide counsel to her clients with trademark matters.
Wright is recognized in the gold band for individuals in Indiana. She focuses her practice on trademark, copyright, and right of publicity law, actively pursuing infringing entities on behalf of her clients, as well as managing global IP portfolios.
