Taft is pleased to have acted as legal counsel to SugarCreek Packing Co. (SugarCreek) in its acquisition of Veroni S.p.A. (Veroni), a leading cured meat producer based in Italy.

Founded in Washington Court House, Ohio in 1966, SugarCreek has grown into a diversified food manufacturer that serves retail and food-service customers across the U.S. and internationally. The company operates seven major manufacturing facilities and employs over 2,500 associates.

Veroni was founded in 1925 in Correggio, Italy. Today, the company produces more than 600 products that it sells worldwide across several channels. Veroni’s footprint includes facilities in Italy and the U.S. and 350 employees in both countries.

SugarCreek’s acquisition of Veroni broadens its product portfolio and strengthens Veroni’s positioning in the U.S. marketplace. Read the release here.
