Taft adds Three Real Estate Attorneys in Chicago
Taft Chicago is pleased to welcome three attorneys in our Real Estate Practice. Marina Merjan and Moira O’Connor join as of counsel and Azra Naqvi as an associate.
Merjan joined Taft after serving as an associate general counsel at DePaul University in Chicago. She received her J.D. in 2015 from DePaul University College of Law and graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif.
O’Connor joined Taft from ASM Global, where she held the position of Director of Operations and managed operational functions for Soldier Field, McFetridge Sports Center, Morgan Park Sports Center, Track & Field Center at Gately Park, ComEd Rec Center, and Baseball Stadium at Devon & Kedzie. She received her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2017.
Naqvi’s experience in real estate includes transactions financed by the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) and low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC). She earned her J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was a member of the Art and Cultural Property Law Society and the Muslim Law Students Association.
