Taft Grows Litigation Team and Denver Office
Litigator Charles (Charlie) Carlin has joined Taft in the firm’s Denver office.
Carlin focuses his practice on commercial litigation and internal investigations, defending individuals and businesses nationwide in federal and state courts. He has tried cases, assisted in interviewing C-Suite executives in public companies as part of large internal investigations, and developed high-level case strategy tailored to the specific needs of each client and dispute. Carlin has experience representing Fortune 500 corporations and individuals in lawsuits and investigations brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
“I became a litigator because I wanted to serve and fight for my clients,” said Carlin. “In addition to the firm’s rich history in the community, the attorneys have proven time and time again that they will go to the mat for their clients. That is the kind of team I want to be a part of, and I am excited to utilize my experience and contribute to the firm’s success.”
Carlin received his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as an associate editor for the Michigan Journal of Private Equity and Venture Capital Law. He is also passionate about giving back and dedicates numerous hours to pro bono work, representing people with limited income and nonprofits in various civil and commercial litigation in state and federal court.
