Taft Leaders Discuss New AI-powered Technology Partnership with Lexis® Create+

Today, hundreds of Taft attorneys now have access to Lexis® Create+, formerly Henchman, which provides AI-powered contract drafting and negotiation technology. This follows a firmwide rollout that began earlier this year across its Business, Finance, and Real Estate practice groups.

Taft adopted this contract drafting solution to help its transactional lawyers expedite how they search for, compare, and evaluate contract clauses and provisions. The firm conducted a rigorous and robust review process of various tools on the market to find the best fit and to ensure suitability with the firm’s IT security and information governance teams.

Taft leaders recently met in the Minneapolis office to share their journey with the Lexis® Create+ team, discussing the advantages this creates for Taft attorneys to continue their client-centric approach with impactful innovation.

Please watch the discussion here, featuring Taft’s Chief Client & Innovation Officer Lyndsay Capeder, Finance practice group Co-Chair Michael Gordon, and Minneapolis Partner-In-Charge Justin Weinberg.

“At the onset of this process, we worked carefully with our practice group leaders and transactional attorneys to determine where we had the greatest need so we could find the right technology to elevate and highlight our talent,” explained Capeder. “A knowledge management platform integrated with Taft’s document management system and public transaction precedent emerged as the best opportunity for us to create efficiencies and level-up internally and for our clients. Today, Lexis® Create+ provides a scaled solution that allows our attorneys to focus on their highest and best use throughout transactions – adding exceptional value to our clients.”
