Taft Litigators to Speak on Corporate Representative Depositions at ACC Chicago Programs
Taft Litigation attorneys John Riccione, William Serritella, Jr., Brianna Skelly, and Elizabeth Winkowski will speak on the panel “Strategic Insights into Corporate Representative Depositions: Rules, Roles, and Realities” at the ACC Chicago programs on Nov. 12 in Chicago and on Nov. 13 in Oak Brook, Illinois. Panelists will discuss the role of corporate representatives in litigation, initial steps in preparing for litigation, best practices for preparing witnesses and conducting effective depositions, and more.

Riccione’s practice involves the representation of businesses in a wide array of complex commercial disputes touching on a number of areas of law, including real estate, construction, retail and wholesale distribution, trade secrets, computer fraud and abuse, UCC warranties and remedies, and labor and employment. He has argued cases before various state and federal courts around the country, as well as in arbitrations, federal and state agencies, and other tribunals.
Serritella is co-chair of Taft’s firmwide Commercial Litigation practice. He focuses his practice on banking, commercial, and appellate litigation. Serritella is a frequent lecturer on various topics, including commercial and real estate workouts, receivership, Uniform Commercial Code issues, trial practice, appellate practice, contract law, sales commission protection acts, employment discrimination, and alternative billing practices.
Skelly practices complex commercial litigation. She concentrates her practice in the medical, construction, banking, real estate, and insurance industries throughout the country. Skelly has extensive experience representing businesses, shareholders, creditors, and individuals in litigation arising from contracts, commercial leases, insurance claims, mechanic’s liens, wage and employment matters, trade secrets, and warranties.
Winkowski is an experienced litigator who focuses her practice on complex civil litigation. She has successfully represented a broad range of clients – from private companies to municipal corporations and other public entities – at all stages of litigation in both state and federal court. Winkowski advocates for her clients on appeal and has argued before the Seventh Circuit.
