Taft Minneapolis Partner, Andrew Carlson, Selected for Minnesota Lawyer's Attorneys of the Year
Litigation partner Andrew Carlson was among 33 honorees selected for Minnesota Lawyer’s Attorneys of the Year. He received this honor for his incredible work spearheading Taft’s firm-wide pro bono efforts. This will be Minnesota Lawyer‘s 20th year celebrating accomplished attorneys from around Minnesota. The selection criteria were based on leadership in the profession, involvement in major cases, other newsworthy events, excellence in corporate or transactional services, and public service. The nominations were submitted by judges, bar groups, clients, and attorneys. Carlson will be honored at a virtual event that will take place on Feb. 17, 2021, and profiled in the Attorneys of the Year magazine.
Carlson’s litigation practice focuses on state tax litigation, commercial litigation, and telecommunications. Before the combination with Taft, he had been with Briggs and Morgan for 15 years. Carlson currently serves on the board of the Fund for Legal Aid and the Access to Justice Committee of the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has previously served on the boards of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid and the Minnesota Justice Foundation, and he has done pro bono work in conjunction with the Children’s Law Center, Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, and the Volunteer Lawyers Network.
