Taft Minneapolis' Roden Named Minnesota Lawyer 2023 Unsung Legal Hero
Taft Minneapolis legal assistant Phyllis Roden has been recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as a 2023 Unsung Legal Hero honoree.
Each year, Minnesota Lawyer recognizes a group of Unsung Legal Heroes – legal professionals who work to make sure the job gets done and have their attorney’s backs – and everyone else’s backs. All Unsung Legal Heroes are representative of seven categories: legal administrative assistant, paralegal or judicial clerk, administrator or office manager, librarian, accounting staff, information technology, and marketing.
Recipients of this award will be honored during a luncheon on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023. To view the full list of 2023 recipients, click here.
In addition to her role as a legal assistant in the public finance group, Phyllis Roden has been an essential part of the pro bono team at Taft. She has supported and facilitated many hours of important pro bono service by the firm’s attorneys. This demonstrated pro bono commitment has had an immeasurable impact on the Minneapolis community and the communities in which Taft has offices. For many years, Taft’s Minneapolis attorneys have participated in a variety of recurring monthly pro bono clinics. Phyllis has enthusiastically and tirelessly recruited attorneys to participate in those clinics, maintained schedules of the clinics so that the firm knows which attorney is covering which clinic shift, and provided administrative support for the participating attorneys as needed.
