Taft Recognized Among Top Five Hatch Waxman Defense Firms in New Report
Taft Stettinius & Hollister has been recognized as one of the top five defense firms for ANDA litigation in Lex Machina’s 2017 Hatch-Waxman/ANDA Litigation Report. Taft is listed as fifth on the list of “Top law firms by cases filed 2015-2017Q1 representing defendants,” with 31 cases. The third annual report mines legal analytics to look for trends and insights into pharmaceutical patent litigation.
Taft has one of the premier Hatch-Waxman Litigation practices in the nation, combining several decades of experience among its trial lawyers, Ph.D.-level scientific advisors and staff. Led by Stephen R. Auten, the team has been involved in more than 100 ANDA patent litigations over the years and numerous others relating to 505(b)(2) applications.
“We’re very thankful that our generic drug clients allow us to partner with them in their efforts to bring affordable, high-quality medicines to the U.S. market,” said Auten, chair of Taft’s Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences group.
