Thomas Elected President of Colorado LGBTQ+ Bar Association
Taft attorney Alex Thomas has been appointed president of the Colorado LGBTQ+ Bar Association (CLBA) for 2025. He will lead the organization in its mission to provide a sense of community and belonging to LGBTQ+ individuals in the legal field in Colorado, through programming and other initiatives.
“I am deeply honored by the opportunity to serve a community that means so much to me,” said Thomas. “This role allows me to help create an inclusive and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals. I look forward to working with the CLBA team and its members to contribute to the mission of empowerment, advocacy, and connection.”
Thomas advises companies on a variety of business matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and securities. Responsive and attentive, Thomas works with clients ranging from small, family-owned businesses to large, multi-billion-dollar corporations. He has been a member of CLBA since attending law school at the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law.
CLBA is a voluntary professional organization comprised of LGBTQ+ and allied legal professionals living and working in Colorado. For more than 30 years, CLBA has provided opportunities for LGBTQ+ legal professionals to connect in safe settings and build meaningful relationships with other identity-based bar associations and legal organizations.
