Thompson Named 2022 NSMBA Trailblazer Awardee
Taft Cleveland co-partner-in-charge Adrian Thompson is a recipient of the 2022 Judge Ronald N. Adrine Trailblazer Award, given by the Norman S. Minor Bar Association (NSMBA). Each year, NSMBA recognizes members of the Black legal community who have made significant contributions to advance diversity in the profession. It is the most prestigious honor given out by the association.
Thompson is one of three recipients in 2022, alongside The Hon. Emmanuella Groves, judge in the Eighth District Court of Appeals; and Ayesha Bell Hardaway, associate professor and director of the Social Justice Law Center, Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Thompson counsels private sector clients on equal employment opportunity litigation, wage-hour problems, employment of the disabled, federal housing, and other labor matters. In addition to his role as co-partner-in charge of Taft’s Cleveland office, Thompson is also a member of the firm’s executive and participation committees and serves as chief diversity officer.
This year’s Trailblazer event will take place on October 29 at the Metropolitan at the 9 hotel in Cleveland. Tickets are available at www.nsmba.org.
