Thompson to Moderate Seminar on Legal Issues Shaping Pro Sports

Taft partner Derrick Thompson, Jr. will moderate the program “Inside the League: Key Legal Issues Shaping the Future of Pro Sports” on Feb. 5 at Fifth Third Arena in Chicago, presented by the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Sports & Entertainment Law Section. Speakers will discuss the changing legal landscape of professional sports. The CLE program will cover strategies for navigating complex contract negotiations, legal frameworks for safeguarding a team’s intellectual property and brand, and more.

Following the conclusion of the program, participants will attend the NHL Chicago Blackhawks vs. Edmonton Oilers hockey game at the United Center. Tickets are included with registration to the CLE seminar.
