Thompson To Speak to Loyola University of Chicago School of Law Students
Taft partner Derrick Thompson, Jr. will be a guest speaker during a session on Sept. 7 in Loyola University of Chicago School of Law’s new course, Diversity and Inclusion: A Social and Professional Responsibility. This discussion will center on topics of diversity identity politics and diversity within diversity while exploring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the legal profession and the particular challenges different racial/ethnic groups face.
Thompson has significant experience representing clients in complex business disputes and related negotiations. He focuses on a variety of litigation matters, including partnership disputes, real estate litigation, employment litigation, intellectual property disputes, trust and fiduciary litigation, and sports and entertainment-related disputes. Earlier this year, Thompson was selected as a 2021 Fellow for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
