Vaselaney Featured in CJN Estate Tax Editorial
Taft partner Missia H. Vaselaney is featured in the Cleveland Jewish News Nov. 21 Legal Affairs section editorial “Proposed tax code may affect exclusion amount, estate tax.” Vaselaney notes that if the tax code were to pass, many estate owners would think they don’t have to even bother with estate planning. “‘People forget that it’s not just a tax reason to do this. … (Estate planning) can provide asset protection planning. There are all types of reasons why people should do estate planning.'”
Vaselaney focuses her practice on estate planning for business owners and individuals. She has worked with clients to both plan and administer estates that have ranged from the very modest to the large and sophisticated. Where the need has arisen, she has represented clients in probate litigation matters and before federal and state taxing authorities.
