Cleveland partner Timothy L. Zix served as a panelist for the Advanced Workers’ Compensation Law Seminar, sponsored by the Ohio State Bar Association, which took place on Sept. 26 in Cleveland. The day-long program provided an in-depth look at current workers’ compensation issues covering the following categories:

• Legislative Update
• BWC Update
• Case Law Update
• Understanding Substance Abuse and Its Impact on Professionals
• Mandamus Actions
• Understanding the “Right to Participate” versus Mandamus Cases
• Demystifying Medical Marijuana in Workers’ Compensation and Employment Cases

Presenters and panelists included attorneys from the region, as well as representatives from the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Ohio Attorney General’s office.

Zix served as one of four distinguished panelists who addressed court appeals pursuant to ORC 4123.512.
