Taft Higher Education group chair Howard Zweig was presented with an award from the Higher Education Real Estate Lawyers (HEREL) at the HEREL annual conference held on the University of Minnesota campus on Sept. 21-22, 2023.

The award recognized Zweig’s “outstanding service and continued dedication to real estate and construction law in higher education.” Zweig is a founding member of HEREL and has continuously served on the steering committee since 2003.

Zweig advises higher education and nonprofit institutions in nearly all areas of law that these institutions encounter, from real estate to contracts to general business, operational, and authority issues. He has extensive experience in public-private partnership transactions that help institutions develop transformational campus projects. Zweig works closely with his clients, which include nationally recognized universities, to understand and respond to their unique challenges and needs.
