Summary

Rick is a labor and employment attorney. He partners with clients to find solutions for a broad array of employment matters, from workplace policy questions to complicated legal disputes. Rick counsels employers on hiring practices, employment agreements, handbooks and other policies, harassment and discrimination claims, and personnel discipline and separation, among other areas.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, where he spent time working with the Korey Wise Innocence Project and Barrister’s Council.

Rick also participated in Colorado Law’s Appellate Practicum, where he argued in front of the Federal Tenth Circuit under the supervision of his licensed professor.

Prior to going to law school, he spent nearly 20 years in the restaurant industry in Texas and Colorado. Rick also spent time working as a substitute teacher and volunteered with several organizations to help low-income individuals and families.
