Summary

Alan represents financial institutions and other lenders, guiding them through structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing loans, including real estate development, construction, and acquisition loans. He also handles midmarket commercial loans and general corporate finance.

Alan also represents numerous real estate buyers, sellers, and developers in a variety of markets, particularly in resort areas and in the hospitality industry. His clients also include small to mid-sized companies, helping them with general corporate matters, particularly in the outdoor products industry. Actively engaged in the community, he has served on the board of directors for several nonprofit organizations, including the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and Emerald Mountain School.

Early in his law career, Alan worked in the legal department of Central Bank of Denver (now U.S. Bank). In that role, he gained firsthand experience, business insight, and an insider’s view of the issues and challenges that arise in banking. This experience enables him to offer clients legal advice based on a practical business point of view as opposed to solely a legal perspective.
