Summary

Allison is an associate in Taft’s Litigation group in Chicago. She focuses her practice on a wide range of civil litigation matters and has experience in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, substantive motions and briefs, oral advocacy, and settlement negotiations.

Prior to joining Taft, Allison was an associate with a well-known regional law firm, where she defended clients in transportation, construction, premises liability, and commercial matters.

Allison earned her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law and her bachelor’s degree in communication and political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While in law school, Allison was involved in the Iowa Law Review and was an intern with the City Attorney’s Office for Iowa City.

Notable Matters

  • Eggum v. Kowalis, et al., Cook County Case No. 2021 L 002849. Won a Cook County Jury fraud and breach of fiduciary duty verdict, including $113,837 in compensatory damages and almost $300,000 in punitive damages, for client Michael Eggum, who sued his former restaurant business co-owner for fraud, fraud in the inducement and breach of fiduciary duty.
