Summary
A fifth-generation military veteran, third-generation lawyer, and second-generation Cuban American, Blair’s professional and personal life has been filled with role models who have helped shape her competitive nature, fierce defense of others, and strong work ethic.
Blair represents clients on matters pertaining to government contracting, construction, and civil litigation, with a focus on nuclear power. Recognizing large companies have complex moving parts, she uses her project management and engineering skills to help organize those parts to enable her clients to meet their goals.
When serving as outside general counsel, Blair focuses on aligning her client’s practices to avoid litigation. However, when litigation is unavoidable, Blair draws on the leadership skills she learned at the U.S. Naval Academy and military service to effectively organize the litigation process, build strong arguments, and fiercely pursue her client’s interests. Blair cares deeply about the needs of her clients. She is confident and committed to winning and expects the same from the clients she represents. Her open communication with and responsiveness to clients enable her to build a true team-like atmosphere in each matter.
A determined goal-setter herself, Blair served with distinction as a naval nuclear engineer and surface warfare officer (a.k.a. ship driver) in the United States Navy. She was a varsity rower for the U.S. Naval Academy’s Women’s Crew team. She has defense contracting experience in the world of Naval Special Warfare and earned her master’s in engineering management from Old Dominion University after law school.
Blair serves on the Government Affairs Council for the Colorado Springs Chamber and Economic Development Corporation and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association’s 2023 Class of the Colorado Diverse Attorney Community Circle (CODACC), Colorado Women’s Bar Association, the El Paso County Bar, Colorado Bar, and Washington Bar.
In her off time, Blair plays competitive tennis. She also enjoys diving for lobster/spearfishing in Florida and all things that involve a pair of skis in the winter.
