Brian Stone

Brian is a partner in the Real Estate practice group. He focuses his practice on all aspects of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing of all types of real estate. He represents owners, developers, management companies, builders, and operators in all aspects of real estate.

Prior to joining Taft, Brian represented financial institutions, other lenders, and borrowers in middle-market real estate finance transactions and equipment lease finance matters. Brian also has extensive experience in a wide variety of corporate transactions, including asset and stock sales and acquisitions, corporate formation and governance, and corporate compliance.

Brian began his legal career as an attorney in the Prehearing Division of the Michigan Court of Appeals. While at the Michigan Court of Appeals, he also served as an interim law clerk for the Hon. Kirsten Frank Kelly and the Hon. Kurtis T. Wilder.
