In both Denver and Chicago, Charlie has gained experience in all stages of the litigation process, from pre-litigation counseling to trials and appeals. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and internal investigations, defending individuals and businesses nationwide in federal and state courts. He has tried cases, assisted in interviewing C-Suite executives in public companies as part of large internal investigations, and developed high-level case strategy that is tailored to the specific needs of each client and dispute.

Charlie understands that each client is unique and has a story to tell, so he engages with his clients to devise the specific arguments that will help them succeed. His experience includes defending Fortune 500 corporations and individuals in lawsuits and investigations brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Charlie also serves the communities in which he lives. His pro bono work includes representing people with limited income and representing non-profits seeking to preserve historic buildings. He also works with children and young adults who have autism to hopefully improve their lives and the lives of their family members.
