Chelsea Reinhard

Associate Denver

Summary

Chelsea helps clients achieve real estate and development objectives. By evaluating both immediate steps and issues as well as potential outcomes, she provides strategies that address current needs and long-term goals.

Chelsea’s practice focuses on land use and development, acquisitions and dispositions of property, commercial leasing, and myriad other real property concerns such as easements and HOA matters. Chelsea additionally works closely with the public finance team on matters related to general district governance and as disclosure counsel for limited offerings funding infrastructure for new development. Chelsea began her law career as a litigator representing owners, architects, and contractors in a wide array of construction and real estate disputes ranging from easements, title issues, tax increment financing to landmark designations.

Having dissected multiple transactions and construction projects in litigation, Chelsea helps clients understand how ambiguities present risk and how to prevent those risks from materializing into costly disputes. She has assisted clients in achieving their development goals in large, mixed-use, and commercial projects, as well as in urban renewal.

A second-career attorney, Chelsea has a background in journalism and served as the editor-in-chief of a news publication in San Angelo, Texas before attending law school. As a journalist, she reported on local real estate development issues pending before the city council, county commissioner’s court, zoning board, and design and historic review board. Chelsea leverages her unique perspective as a former reporter to help her clients navigate competing interests when seeking local government approvals in public, and often vocal, forums.

She received her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and earned her B.A. in Journalism with a minor in German from Angelo State University. While in law school, Chelsea served as a law clerk for the Colorado Supreme Court and at a boutique law firm.
