Summary

As director of public affairs, Chris represents clients in a range of policy matters before state legislative and executive agencies. He has experience working in various policy fields including criminal justice, public safety, insurance, local government operations, tax policy, and public policy and is well-versed in legal research and legislative bill drafting.

Prior to joining Taft, Chris was a Government Affairs Manager for Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (Aim), where he developed the grassroots advocacy strategy for additional engagement between municipal officers and state officials and advised local and state leaders on the implications of policy implementation in a variety of fields.

Chris also worked as a legislative liaison for the Indiana Public Defender Council, where he advocated for Indiana Public Defense policy initiatives before a range of Indiana General Assembly Committees and Interim Study Committees.

Further, Chris served as a Policy Analyst for the Indiana Senate Republicans where he provided robust support for the Senate committees on Utilities, Insurance, Environmental Affairs, Public Policy, and Education and Career Development.

Chris earned his J.D. from Indiana University McKinney School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Indiana University Bloomington.
