With more than 20 years of experience in the New Mexico financial market, Dan partners with clients to deliver tailored financing solutions that meet their goals.

As a public finance attorney, Dan focuses his practice on bond financing, economic development, securities, and new markets tax credits. He represents a wide range of governmental entities, including state and local governments, state financing and housing authorities, special districts, and other political subdivisions. In addition to his experience in public finance, Dan has also worked with businesses in connection with entity formation, acquisitions, and securities transactions.

Prior to joining the firm, Dan served as the chief legal officer at the New Mexico Finance Authority. There, he devised sophisticated financing frameworks, established credit initiatives, led successful federal new markets tax credit ventures, and ultimately helped shape the financial landscape and economic development across New Mexico.

Dan’s journey to law wasn’t traditional. Before becoming an attorney, he was a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was drafted in the first round of the 1987 MLB June Amateur Draft and spent several years playing in the organization as well as managing youth camps and clinics. After retiring from baseball, Dan connected with the community and America’s favorite pastime through coaching high school teams and Little League.
