Summary
Elise is an associate in Taft’s Cincinnati office and represents a broad range of clients in state and federal courts across all phases of litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Elise gained valuable experience as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Candace J. Smith, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Elise also worked for the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati, assisting clients experiencing issues with public benefits including Medicaid, SNAP, and unemployment benefits.
In addition to her practice, Elise is passionate about pro-bono work and has extensive experience volunteering within the community. She previously worked with the Cincinnati Immigrant and Refugee Law Center assisting with asylum cases and with the Ohio Governor’s Expedited Pardon Project reviewing admittance applications.
Elise earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in political science from the University of Dayton. While in law school, Elise was a judicial intern for the Hon. Thomas Rose, United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She also served as a Staff Writer and Online Articles Editor for the University of Dayton Law Review.
