Summary

Imani is director of public affairs for Taft’s Public Affairs Strategies Group. This multidisciplinary government relations team represents corporations, small and medium-sized companies, nonprofit organizations, and associations with matters before federal, state, and local legislative and executive branches of government. She advocates for clients in various policy matters before state legislative and executive agencies.

Prior to joining Taft, Imani served as the associate director of public engagement for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under then-Secretary Marcia L. Fudge. In that role, she co-led the planning and execution of department-wide stakeholder engagements across the country that helped to amplify key HUD messages.

Imani began her career on Capitol Hill in the office of then-Congresswoman Fudge.

She graduated from Ohio University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in African American studies. She is a proud native of Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
