Summary

Jacob is an attorney in Taft’s Minneapolis office and focuses his practice on all aspects of business law. He has represented clients on a variety of transactions, including sell-side and buy-side public and private acquisitions, divestitures, investments and business combinations, joint ventures, private and public financings, fund-to-fund transactions, recapitalizations and restructurings. He also regularly counsels clients on corporate governance, commercial agreements, and public filings, among other corporate and business advisory matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Jacob was a corporate associate for a national firm in Palo Alto, California.

Jacob earned his J.D. with a Certificate in Business Law from the University of California Berkeley School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, and philosophy from the University of Minnesota. While in law school, Jacob was an Article Editor for the California Law Review and Executive Editor and Internet Editor for Ecology Law Quarterly.
