Summary

Jacob is an associate specializing on all aspects of business law, including formation, governance, securities compliance, liquor licenses, and mergers and acquisitions. He advises a variety of corporate clients and high net worth clients on the structuring and negotiation of complex transactions and business planning. Jacob has extensive professional work experience in the legal and financial industries and leverages his strong business background to provide strategic and efficient solutions for clients.

Prior to joining Taft, Jacob was a senior associate in the corporate practice group at a prominent regional firm where he worked on general business matters across multiple jurisdictions. He also gained experience as a law clerk at a Detroit commercial litigation firm and as a judicial intern to the Hon. John H. Gillis, Jr., Wayne County Third Circuit Court.

Jacob earned his joint J.D./M.B.A. from Wayne State University Law School and Mike Illitch School of Business where he was active in Moot Court and the Transactional Law Competition, and received the Duberstein Bankruptcy Competition Outstanding Brief Award. Jacob also holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University.
