Jordan is a partner in Taft’s Commercial Litigation practice. He practices primarily in the areas of:
- Commercial litigation and dispute resolution
- Banking and finance litigation
- Intellectual property litigation
- Commercial real estate and construction litigation
- Securities litigation
Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution
Jordan represents individual and corporate clients in all manners of commercial disputes, including matters involving employment disputes, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, personal injury, property damage, business transaction disputes, general contract claims, corporate governance, and shareholder and partnership disputes. Jordan has successfully litigated cases through trial, obtained dismissals through motion practice and obtained favorable mediation results.
Banking and Finance Litigation
Jordan has successfully defended and prosecuted various litigation matters on behalf of large and midsized banks.
Intellectual Property Litigation
Jordan represents companies in patent and trademark infringement cases, as well as trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition cases.
Commercial Real Estate and Construction Litigation
Jordan has experience representing commercial landlords and tenants in various litigation matters to enforce contractual and statutory rights and remedies. Jordan has also represented real estate development and construction companies in litigation involving alleged construction defects and personal injury.
Securities Litigation
Jordan represents companies against securities class actions and other securities fraud claims before state and federal courts, including related derivative shareholder actions.
Jordan received his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Dakota, summa cum laude, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School, magna cum laude, where he received honors in legal research and writing. While in law school, he served as a note and comment editor for the Minnesota Law Review. Jordan was a summer associate at Briggs and Morgan, P.A. in 2012 and 2013. Prior to law school, he worked as a Technology Fellow for the University of South Dakota.
