Summary
Marcia leads litigation for Taft’s Franchise and Distribution practice area. Additionally, she works directly with clients to negotiate various agreements, including franchise agreements, development rights agreements, cooperative advertising agreements, market test agreements, consent to assignment agreements, supply agreements, distribution agreements, alternative channel (including e-commerce) agreements, termination agreements, and settlement agreements.
Marcia has extensive experience working with manufacturers, distributors, dealers, franchisors, franchisees, and industry associations. She has also represented clients in a broad variety of industries in litigation to terminate distribution, dealer, and franchise agreements, and related claims. Marcia’s familiarity with federal and state laws governing disclosure and regulation provides value in both the transactional and litigation context. She works to understand the client’s business and to develop solutions that further their business objectives.
