Summary

Becky is a partner in Taft’s Government Contracts Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Becky represents clients in high-stakes government contracts disputes and litigation before the Government Accountability Office (GAO), federal courts, and the Federal Aviation Administration Office of Dispute Resolution for Acquisition. Her practice spans bid protests, contract claims before agency boards of contract appeals, False Claims Act defense, and civil litigation with the Department of Justice.

In a representative matter, Becky defended a national logistics company against allegations of overcharging on a nationwide Defense Department contract, reducing government and qui tam relator demands exceeding $1 billion to a $13 million settlement and securing dismissal with prejudice of all FCA allegations.

Becky also advises contractors on compliance with federal procurement regulations, including defective pricing, cost allowability, teaming arrangements, and novations. She conducts due diligence for government contractor mergers and acquisitions and advises on post-transaction integration matters.

Before joining Taft, Becky served as a Major in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where she gained firsthand experience in the Air Force Contracts Litigation Office.
