Sarah Petitt

As a paralegal in Taft’s Workers’ Compensation practice group, Sarah assists attorneys in the defense of private and public sector employers at all administration levels and before the Industrial Commission of Ohio, trial and state appellate courts and the Ohio Supreme Court. Clients that Sarah supports range from Fortune 200 enterprises to entrepreneurial startups involved in industry sectors spanning industrial manufacturing, consumer products, healthcare, technology, transportation, sports, professional services and retail.

Sarah manages legal administrative work to ensure that claims are adequately prepared for defense of various issues at hearings before the Industrial Commission, including obtaining independent medical examinations, preparing claim summaries for the physicians and seeking relevant medical records. She also helps attorneys prepare for litigation trials to reach verdicts in favor of employers by assisting with trial preparation details, and drafting concise pleadings and motions.
