Summary

Scott leads Taft’s Aviation and Aerospace industry group, and works closely with the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Product Liability and Personal Injury practices. He specializes in areas of complex litigation, including aviation accidents and incidents, commercial transactions, and product liability. He maintains a national litigation practice, representing airlines, manufacturers, owners, and operators, and insurance carriers throughout the country on a regular basis. Scott has tried dozens of complex federal cases to jury verdicts across the United States for several decades. He regularly conducts training seminars for aviation clients, keeping them abreast of developments in the law and the latest risk management strategies in their industry. Airlines, aircraft and component manufacturers, repair facilities, and aviation insurers have all relied on his expertise to protect their rights in the face of aviation accidents and incidents of all kinds.

Scott represents clients in state and federal courts in Michigan, California, the District of Columbia, Illinois, New York, and Ohio. He has litigated cases on behalf of clients on a pro hac vice basis in Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
