Summary

Susan draws on her experience as senior in-house counsel at a leading financial services provider to advise clients on a wide range of financing transactions. She represents both lenders and borrowers in acquisition financings, asset-based lending, and project financings. Susan partners with clients to provide creative, practical solutions that further their business objectives.

Prior to joining Taft, Susan spent nearly 20 years as deputy general counsel for Unifund, one of the country’s leading financial management servicing companies. With a strong focus on transactions and compliance, she guided company leadership through the constantly evolving legal challenges associated with a highly-regulated industry. In addition, Susan routinely advised on matters related to FinTech, privacy, and litigation.

Susan earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago.
