William D. Friedman

Will is an associate in our Mergers and Acquisitions practice group. He focuses his practice on representing publicly and privately held companies in mergers, acquisitions, divestures, and other general corporate transactions. Will also provides counsel on corporate governance matters.

Will represents a range of professional and collegiate athletes, providing skilled support in contract review and negotiation. He assists college athletes in all aspects of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), offering guidance through the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics. With experience negotiating and reviewing both collective and marketing agreements, Will ensures his clients are well-positioned and protected in all aspects of their athletic and commercial endeavors.

Prior to joining the firm, Will worked at the United States Agency for Global Media as a legal intern for the office of the general counsel. In this role, he conducted legal research in various areas of administrative law, drafted various legal documents and aided discovery motions. He also served as a student attorney for the Georgetown Social Enterprise and Nonprofit Legal Clinic, counseling local nonprofits in their entity formation and helping them obtain 501C# nonprofit status.
