Yeoeun Claire Yoon

Yeoeun is an attorney in Taft’s Litigation practice group and represents a wide range of corporate, municipal, and individual clients in various industries including finance and banking, commercial real estate, manufacturing, and gaming. Yeoeun advises clients in all stages of litigation and has experience with a wide range of matters and issues, including regulatory, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, restrictive covenants violations, and other business and commercial matters in both U.S. state and federal courts. Yeoeun also advises clients through internal investigations.

Yeoeun is the Co-Chair of Taft Chicago’s Inclusion and Opportunity Committee.

Yeoeun earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she was the Managing Notes Editor for the University of Illinois Law Review. During law school, Yeoeun worked at the Illinois Appellate Court as a legal extern for the Honorable Mary L. Mikva, First District. She won “Best Oralist” at the Frederick Green Moot Court Competition at the University of Illinois. Yeoeun earned her bachelor’s degree in international business from Auburn University. In her personal time, Yeoeun volunteers as the National Programs Director of the Omega Phi Alpha Foundation and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Korean American Bar Association of Chicago.
